Türkheim, 17.12.2020. The family-run Salamander group with its headquarters in Türkheim/Unterallgäu has its origins in the world-famous shoe brand. From this history, the Salamander subsidiary still recovers leather cuttings at the Türkheim site and refines them into sustainable material experiences.

These newly created, sustainable materials offer customers all over the world a wide range of high-quality application and design options in terms of usage properties, look, feel, smell and the good feeling of sustainability. The result: a unique, high-performance and sensory premium product that stands out.

In more than 100 years of company history, the Salamander subsidiary has succeeded in combining the tradition of leather craftsmanship with today's demands for design, sustainability and innovation.

Reorientation as an important contribution to the future

To highlight its expertise in the production of unique material and surface solutions and to underline its impact as a design-oriented company, Salamander is adapting ist company name and strengthening the brand.
